Anglais

Why do I love to teach?

I enjoy sharing my passion for learning and the favorite part of my job is interacting with students and exchanging ideas.  I love to share my enthusiasm for the subject and to learn from my students. I also enjoy creating and adapting pedagogical materials to make them meaningful and interesting for students.

An author that is inspirational to me

Frank McCourt. He grew up in a poverty-stricken home in Ireland but always found hope even in the darkest moments of his life. He was an English teacher and a Pulitzer Prize winning author.

My favorite quote

“Failure is not the opposite of success.  It is part of success.”  Ariana Huffington

My favorite fictional hero

Offred from “The Handmaid’s Tale”, Celie from “The Color Purple” and Jane Eyre from “Jane Eyre”. These female characters were all struggling to survive in a male dominated society.

My interests

Fitness, tennis, traveling, languages

The aspects of English that I am passionate about

English pronunciation and etymology (the study of the origin of words).

More about myself

I have a bachelor’s degree in TESL and a Master’s of Arts in Applied Linguistics.

Publications
